Chair, cocoa... what's the latest project? Did I knit from my stash?... or slip and buy some yarn?

So many projects, so little time.

Lately I've been boring myself with a cream color, acrylic baby blanket with a subtle plaid pattern. I need to learn how to post pictures.

This blanket is going to Ohio for a little girl due in the next month or so. The brightly colored Haiku sweater and socks went to Pasadena for a boy born this week. The other bright yarns are being used for a Guideposts sweater for donation at the church where I attend a Weight Watchers meeting.

I'm avoiding buying yarn due to my huge stash. To reduce the stash, I've donated a cone and several acrylics to my daughter's high school art class. The many scarves are just sitting there... I'm considering combining a scarf and shawl into a poncho... cause they are SOOOOO trendy.

I've played with the various baby bootie patterns, and will be working those instead of blankets in the future. Booties are more unique and interesting. Blankets are quite boring.

My goal is to blog about knitting and start joining blog rings. I enjoy so many bloggers, and my life seems so dull...

Except for the child. My daughter (aka DD) is 16, at the end of this month 17. For my birthday in June, she gave me a hamster. Now I'm not a fan of house rodents. Our three cats enjoy small rodents, but not as pets. Last month, her boyfriend had a birthday.... now what would a teenage girl get her (2 years older) boyfriend?? guesses at work included ... tatoo, body piercing, sex.. all wrong. My daughter got him a hand sized tarantula. She, of course, got a baby for herself. She was told to get rid of the baby (i.e. give it to the bf).

Apparently the T is as musical as the bf. When bf plays the piano, the T waves its antena in time to the music. The T only has 7 legs.... he/she can grow one back. (re: gender... don't know.. and don't want to know. How do you sex a T?)

So my DD keeps my life interesting. 'Cause I think knitting and HIPAA are interesting.
