Chair, cocoa... what's the latest project? Did I knit from my stash?... or slip and buy some yarn?

I FOUND A YARN STORE!!!!! Lunch hour was spent browsing and petting the most fantastic selection of designer yarns I've ever touched!! Okay, I was a yarn store virgin. I'll admit it.
I bought some of the Noro Kureyon and a ball of waltz and a plain jane blue with no ball band ($2) And Cascade Quatro... I'll need more of that... I can just tell.
I'll just knit this weekend. The waltz and blue I started knitting in the car. Pretty bad.. I cast on 20 stitches and started. I don't know what it will be but ... wow it is beautiful.
Great end to a nasty week. Thank God I have knitting to keep me sane.

what decade does your personality live in?
quiz brought to you by lady interference, ltd
Okay this isn't a surprise. Today the kid and I were watching Sargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.. you know.. the movie from 1978. Lots of great Beatles songes... before Michael Jackson got royalties for playing them.
What a cheesy movie... lots of cameos... lots of cliches.. It made me smile..

My inner child is sixteen years old!
Life's not fair! It's never been fair, but while
adults might just accept that, I know
something's gotta change. And it's gonna
change, just as soon as I become an adult and
get some power of my own.
How Old is Your Inner Child?

You are Shetland Wool.
You are a traditional sort who can sometimes be a
little on the harsh side. Though you look
delicate you are tough as nails and prone to
intricacies. Despite your acerbic ways you are
widely respected and even revered.
What kind of yarn are you?

The premie blanket is going slowly. #5 needles seemed only half as fast as #10's. But... oh well. With the premie blankets I'm not striving for big.. little is fine. The pattern of the varigated yarn is pretty. I'll post a pix.
The Bernat is different from the Lion Brand sock yarn I used previously. Lion's ball is twice as big... Bernat only promises a pair of child's socks.. (I'll probably need another ball for the 14 X14" premie blanket.)
The other difference is the varigations. Lion is set up to give rows with every other stitch a different color. So there are very short (1/4" maybe) color changes. It drove me nuts, cause I was trying to make the stitches perfect. (okay, it was my first sock...which may never have a mate.)
Crafters' Choice has some neat knitting books. I'm lusting after Knitting in the Old Way and Stitch 'N Bitch.
I just ebayed a new computer fan. This one is loud... well that's not the problem. It's going out. So far I've limped it along by turning off the computer when I'm not using it. I actually went back to sleep after my early am trip the the potty. Normally I troll on Usenet.
Anyway. Life is good.

okay... time to catch up.. The kitten didn't make it to the vet. He's been rescheduled for Thursday. Hobby Lobby ran out of the eyelash yarn... sometime Monday morning. Pretty amazing.
I've started a premie blanket out of the Bernat Hot Jazz sock yarn... I'm finished knitting the main pieces, and ready to block the vest. Then I finish the armholes and neckline. I'm considering using the blue eyelash yarn for the neckline. We'll see. Maybe a detatchable collar.
My sinuses are crazy... I'm taking lots of drugs. That's all for now.
