Chair, cocoa... what's the latest project? Did I knit from my stash?... or slip and buy some yarn?

Well the kid is gone to Miami... with a stop at Cape Canaveral.

I've been working on a DP mouse.. it's kinda wonky... I was making up the pattern as I go... and started at the whiskers end... well with the awkward increases.. it looks like the other end...with three lumps.

I need to start the other sock..I'm 80% done on the rainbow blanket. The tiny catnip mice are great... nice to just quickly do...

So much energy went into getting the kid on the bus for Florida. I'm considering an afternoon nap.
Hopefully she has all she needs... or the $$ to buy it.

The kitten has discovered the cusor. At random moments, he will fixate on the screen, tense up... and attack. I can avoid an attack, if I stop typing briefly... However, when he's perched on top of the chairback, I don't realize he's going to pounce.. until it is too late... Cats seem to love knitting... As I pull the yarn, teasing, tempting, an attack is nearby.

I cope by knitting. I'm knitting a lot today. My 16 year old daughter is going to Miami to play during the half time show of the Orange Bowl. Today would have been my 22nd wedding anniversary... well, except I got divorced 20 years ago.

Today I'm working on a teal knit mouse... Christmas presents for my furry friends on the southside of Indianapolis. This is a short version, with an I-cord tail.

So far, my greatest accomplishment has been a Lion Brand self patterning sock. Although I've been too chicken to make a mate. Soon... when I have concentration time. Like this week when the kid is in Miami, and I'm worrying about her.

My current projects include a rainbow blanket for the Linus project in Red Heart. Assorted swatches in other materials. Recently I learned how to cable. -- thanks to a mouse-a-thon mouse. So after reading others who are on "yarn diets" I realized that I didn't have unfinished projects... just a lot of swatches.

Thanks to Ebay, I own every imaginable size needle... mostly in metals... although I have a couple large Pony pearls. I enjoy knitting for the feel of the yarn, the texture of the fabric, and the ability to concentrate on the next stitch.

Knitting is great therapy. And though it's not tax deductable, the yarn addiction is cheaper than therapy. Okay... cheaper than an inpatient stay...
